<title>Interplex Plastics: spectrometers</title>
<link>/plastic-industry-forum/article1183.htm</link>
<description>Interplex Plastics: Getting ready to start a new program where color match is going to be critical. Can I get some information about spectrometers? Any easy to use realiable brands out there at a bargain, any brands to avoid? Sources for used equipment? Most of the reasearch I have done points to a sizable investment. Anybody have ideas on how to insure we get the best bang for our buck?

<title>Troy Nix: Hearing Loss Compensable Under Ohio&#039;s WC Law</title>
<link>/plastic-industry-forum/article1182.htm</link>
<description>Troy Nix: Dear Members:

For those that attended MAPP&#039;s Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Summit in late April, and issue was brought up referencing hearing loss. The question pertained to the Ohio Law on hearing loss.

Randall Comer, Attorney at Law for Martin Brown, recently indicated that &quot;if a loss of hearing is medically shown to be related to an injured workers’ employment, then it would be compensable under Ohio workers’ compensation law.&quot;

<title>Indiana Plastics, Inc.: IQMS For Custom Molders</title>
<link>/plastic-industry-forum/article1178.htm</link>
<description>Troy Nix: Chrisk, I have an idea for you.

First, MAPP has an extensive resource called the Business and Technical Directory located under the Members Only Tab. In this directory, individual MAPP member professionals list their contact information in areas where they feel very capable of fielding quetions. Under the category called SOFTWARE, you will see a vast number of member professionals that have listed their contact information indicating their willingness to share.

Secondly,during MAPP&#039;s next plant tour at Dekalb Molded plastics in June, we will have an ERP Technology meeting where profesionals will discuss issues and realities of what their software is and is not doing. This would be an extremely valuable forum to obtain critical information and contacts!
